SLIDING SCALE TICKETS
INTRODUCING:
SLIDING SCALE TICKET PRICING
This system allows you to make the financial choice that is best for you while still joining us on our mission’s challenge: making art “For Everyone. With Everyone.”
CHOOSE YOUR TICKET PRICE FROM 5 TIERS:
[Tier 1] - $15
This is our tier for accessibility. Maybe you used to come to the theatre but haven’t been able to come back! Maybe you’ve always wanted to check us out but it never quite fit into your budget. Maybe you know you want to come to the theatre but you’re not quite sure about the play title. Maybe you saw the show already and want to see it again! This tier is for you. At $15, you can join us at the Alvina Krause Theatre, find your community and enjoy the arts.
[Tier 2] - $25
This is our tier for sustainability. Perhaps you have a little more spending money and you want to throw us a few more bucks. Or you’re coming to see the show with your kids and want to buy their tickets at a lower price than your own.
[Tier 3] - $35
This is our recommended ticket price. This is the price we have charged for [X] years, regardless of the rising inflation prices. $35 covers the true cost of producing our shows.
[Tier 4] - $45
This is our supporter tier. If you love our shows and you have a little extra pocket change you’d like to throw our way, those extra dollars go a long way! At a higher ticket price, we can make sure to grow our productions bigger and better— more actors, more complex sets, more musicals! This tier also helps subsidize the folks who can only afford Tier 2.
[Tier 5] - $55
This is our [what’s one step more than support? benefactor?] tier. At this price, you can show your appreciation for all the work we do in the community. An added perk is that if you purchase a ticket for all four shows this season you can get into the $100 Ensemble Circle for only $20 more! This tier also helps subsidize the folks who can only afford Tier 1.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
All of our previous ticketing options (Senior price, child price, student discount, etc.) are going away. If you used to purchase tickets in one of those categories, you can either simply select the tier that is most comparable to that previous price or choose a different price tier!
Subscriptions/Flex Packages are also going away. But fear not! You can still purchase your tickets in advance to make sure you get the seats you want! Call the box office at 570-784-8181 or visit our website at bte.org to book the prime seats for you, be that aisle or in the front or Row E Seat 107 (Kimie’s personal favorite seat).
Tell your friends, family, coworkers, anyone! If you’ve ever felt the difference between watching a play with a full audience versus a scattered one, you’ll know that hearing people all around you laugh, gasp, cry, and clap changes the experience of a show for its viewers. Theatre is a communal event!
