Founded in 1978 under the guidance of acting legend Alvina Krause, BTE is a resident ensemble dedicated to creating bold, community-driven theatre. Every season, we tell new stories, take new risks, and grow deeper roots—thanks to supporters like you.

We’re proud to introduce our newly redesigned annual individual giving program, The Ensemble Circle. The Ensemble Circle, celebrates and connects our most dedicated supporters- a community of donors whose annual contributions sustain the artistic and educational work of BTE. Members receive exclusive benefits at each tier—such as complimentary tickets, discount codes, and invitations to private events—as a token of our gratitude.

Every donation helps us:

  • Provide full-time employment for our Resident Acting Company as actors, directors, playwrights, and teachers

  • Expand free student matinees of our shows

  • Increase capacity to upgrade technology in productions

    -Recognition in season programs

  • $500- 999

    - All Director’s Circle benefits, plus:

    - 15% discount code for Flex Packages

    - Invitation to private donor events and exclusive experiences

  • $1,000-4,999

    - All Designer’s Circle benefits, plus:

    - Two free All-Access Passes

  • $5,000- 9,999

    -All Actor’s Circle benefits, plus:

    -Four free All-Access Passes

    -Opportunity to serve on a BTE committee

    -Designation as a production sponsor for one show

    -Ten complimentary tickets

  • $10,000 and Above

    -All of the Alvina Krause Circle benefits, plus:

    - Four free All-Access Passes

    - Designation as a production sponsor for the full season

    - Twenty complimentary tickets to the entire season

    • Call us at 570-784-5530 during our office hours on Monday through Friday, from noon to 4 PM.

  • A: No. Contributions received after October 31 will be applied to the following season. Listings will be curated annually.

  • A: Yes. Raise the Region 2025 will serve as the official campaign kick-off!

  • A: The Season Supporter tier recognizes individual donations between $25 and $99. Supporters at this level will have their name listed on BTE’s website as a show of appreciation. While not part of the Ensemble Circle, this tier serves as an important entry point for engagement and is designed to encourage future participation in the Ensemble Circle starting at the $100 level, where additional benefits become available.
