Based on the Elephant & Piggie books by Mo Willems, Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” is a musical romp for the whole family!

All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com. This play was commissioned by and first produced at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for its 2013/2014 season.

Community Children’s Auditions

Join the Summer fun at Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble! We’re looking for young performers to bring to life a dutiful pup, a sarcastic penguin, and a trio of singing squirrels! These roles will be double cast, with the two casts alternating between performances throughout the show’s run. Auditionees should come prepared to perform a memorized scene with a partner (provided by BTE on the day), sing a few measures of “Elephant in the Room,” and participate in a movement call or group dance number. EVERYONE MUST REGISTER ADVANCE TO AUDITION USING THE PORTAL.

A trio of back-up singing squirrels and friends of Gerald and Piggie.

AUDITION DATES AND TIMES:

March 21st

Ages 8-14: 10:00 AM—12:00 PM

Ages 14-18: 2:00—4:00 PM

CALLBACK DATES AND TIMES:

Dog and Penguin: March 21st, 12:00 PM

Callbacks for Dog and Penguin will consist of scene work. These scenes do not need to be memorized.

The Squirrelles: March 26th, 5:30 PM

Callback for the Squirrelles will consist of scenes and trio harmonies. Auditionees do not need memorize these scenes and harmonies in advance.

Please review the actors’ schedule before signing up to audition. Because summer is a busy time of year, it is best to let us know about any scheduling conflicts in advance.
