A Message from the Education Director
The mission of Theatre School is to develop artistic and theatrical creativity, appreciation, collaboration, imagination, and information about the fundamentals of ensemble theater arts. With offerings both on and off site, and outreach activities spanning all over Pennsylvania, we are committed to giving our students and their families access to live theater and arts education programming. Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble has been bringing the arts and education to the Bloomsburg community for over 30 years. Since its inception in 1978, BTE has always made arts education a priority. That mission is still alive and well today, through theatre education programs that BTE initiates every month of the year.
BTE is always hard at work improving and broadening the availability of our educational offerings. Theatre School also partners with BTE's School Programs initiative to produce the annual Theatre-In-the-Classroom tours, to offer free matinees through Project Discovery and to bring Shakespeare to life through Page-To-Stage performances and workshops.
With a variety of classes available in Theatre School, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble is looking to build a community of people, of all ages, who come together for the common goal of appreciation and expression of the arts.
