BTE is searching for a Treasurer.

The treasurer, who should possess an accounting or financial background, is responsible for providing reliable and timely financial information to the Board, which meets the 4th Monday of each month. To assist the treasurer, the finance committee meets on a monthly basis, usually one week prior to the Board meeting, to review internally generated financial statements and to discuss financial issues facing the organization. The treasurer leads the finance committee, assists in the annual independent audit, and presents the finance committee’s recommended annual budget to the Board.

BTE uses quickbooks to capture financial transactions, to process payroll, and to generate financial reports. BTE’s Office Manager manages the day to day processing of transactions. The Managing Director manages cash and reviews the GL. The treasurer serves as the internal control for review of these functions and, at times, recommends adjustments.
