Our Box Office Policies

Payment: Tickets must be paid in full within three days of your reservation. If you are purchasing tickets for a performance within three days, they must be paid in full at the time of purchase. There is a $1.00 exchange fee PER ticket. Please, no exceptions.

Special Needs: Please call our Box Office for seating arrangements before purchasing tickets.

Groups: Groups of eight (8) or more people qualify for our group discount. Please call Mary Clapp at 570-784-5530 for more information.

Children: Must have tickets and be able to sit in their own seats. Babes-in-arms are not permitted. Our Box Office staff can advise you if a show is appropriate for your child’s age. (See BTE’s Theatre Ratings System)

There are no refunds on ticket purchases, but we’d be happy to exchange your tickets in person at the Box Office by 5:00PM on the initial show date, or by 5:00PM the Friday before weekend performances. There is a $1.00 exchange fee per transaction. Please call us at 570-784-8181, visit us in person at 226 Center Street, or email us at boxoffice@bte.org if you need to initiate an exchange. 

The show always goes on at BTE! If bad weather makes travel dangerous or impossible, please call us as soon as possible to see if we can exchange your tickets for an alternate performance or for any show during the season at no extra charge.

At the theatre
Please silence, dim, and put away cameras, recorders, pagers, cellular phones, and wristwatch alarms during the performance; their use is not permitted during the show. 

Messages will be given to patrons in case of emergency. Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the play and will be seated in the rear of the auditorium until intermission.
BTE accepts no responsibility for anyone injured while moving along the stairs during a performance.

Refreshments are available at the Concession stand in the lobby ; you are welcome to bring your refreshments into the auditorium.

The Alvina Krause Theatre is fully accessible

1.      Signed performances are scheduled periodically. Contact the Box Office for arrangements

2.      Large print programs are available to patrons with 24-hour notice

3.      Service dogs are always welcome

4.      We offer two wheelchair seating sections; ask the Box Office about reserving these spots
